網路位置可以是資料夾或 WIM 檔案。如果它是一個 WIM 檔案，則位置最前面應該加上「wim:」並包含用於 WIM 檔案中的映像索引。例如 "wim:\\server\share\install.wim:3"。

如果您停用或未設定這個原則設定，或者在這個原則設定所指定的位置中找不到必要的欄位，則如果電腦的原則設定允許，就會從 Windows Update 下載檔案。
