This is the new readme file for easy set up with the IP update code.

Installation:
copy the phpmailer folder into your /var/www folder ,or for windows, your htdocs folder.

next you copy the included code (ipfinal.php and ipcheck.txt) into your main www folder.  you can just use the code as is: a seperate page that sits open or you can encorporate it into what ever you like.  

notes:
I'm using this page for the purpose of keeping up with my dynamic ip at my home, so i leave it open in a browser and it has a meta refresh tag set to reload after 600 seconds = 10 minutes.  it then sends my current external IP to my email.  --EDIT  in release 1.2 this has been set to ONLY send if a change has been made.

--EDIT in release 1.2.  ipcheck.txt must have read and write permissions set in order to work.  for Security: DO NOT ALLOW EXECUTION of this file.  someone could use it to gain access to you system.

This could probably be used with a Free DNS service to update your host there.  The only reason i haven't done this is because i don't know how they want the information (format and type of transmission).

Basically, use it how you want. 

--EDIT Release 1.4 has been adjusted to prevent unwanted emails (blank) from going into the users email.
